The growth and prosperity of the physical education system has long been on our agenda. The need for the youth of today to collectively engage in the knowledge, lifestyle and competition involved in physical activities, is essential to the betterment of generations to come, in the Kingdom.

Factors that would require focus stem are tailored around getting the basics right. This means to have physical education, activities and theoretical knowledge embedded into the curriculum of students in schools across the Kingdom. This public-led initiative comes coupled with plans to introduce extracurricular activity programs, a school sports club, along with initiatives that harness physical education and the basic need for it.

Throughout its membership of UNESCO, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has many times been elected a Member of the Executive Board. The current representation of your country on the Board marks the continued confidence placed in your dear motherland, in reinforcing the mutually profitable cooperation with UNESCO.

This would require a conscious effort of everybody involved, and in making it happen, we would have achieved a tremendous milestone that our citizens tomorrow can thank us for.
